I have always been a rather deep thinker. When I was about 10 I remember discovering Zeno’s Paradox on my own just by thinking about it. That’s how I think.
This blog will be devoted to my thoughts on just about every topic imaginable. Due to my recent de-conversion from fundamentalist Christianity to atheism and my deep knowledge about the faith a lot of posts will probably be devoted to this subject.
Disclaimer: my posts of religion – and Christianity in particular – are from a naturalistic, atheistic perspective. Although I used to be a devout Christian, I left the faith for various internal contradictions I saw. Out of an inability to resolve these contradictions to what I believed to be a satisfactory level, I left the faith last year. As such, my posts on Christianity are intended to be well-informed, although one must understand that with the thousands of various opinions internal to Christianity, I may not accurately represent your position. In my opinion, the inability for Christians to agree on the doctrines of their faith is good evidence that the entire thing is not true. As such, my posts will reflect this position.
Bravo to you for your courage. It is what I lack, thus my reluctance to disclose this same message to my family. Hope you have found peace.

I congratulate you on your de-conversion. I know personally that it is not as easy as seeing the contradictions and inconsistencies, there’s a huge emotional part to it as well, so it is quite a feat for some of us. I look forward to reading more of your musings. :-)
