Disingenuous Friendship

Your voice so soft, a charm like none another; speaking of things far Above
Of promises and peace, and deep wonder; spirits and wind and fruit and a Dove
But hidden beneath, your promises of friendship; under the beauty a heartache
A genuine friend, is not your hearts goal; to trap my soul under wrath and godfate
Writhing in anguish, hope will vanish; appearing a cure fit for the pain

He sat cross-legged on the pass
Drifting in contemplation…
